myAPC diary 2009

The myAPC diary 2009 is based on the RICS APC guides and RICS templates (December 08, updated June 09) and is pathway specific. It is easy to use with simple, electronic APC diary entry and makes it easier for candidates to fill in their records. The myAPC diary helps to avoid recording errors with both a drop down competency selector and comprehensive diary error-checking. It also helps candidates to present their progress to their supervisor and counsellor effectively and efficiently, even if they are remotely based.

Amendments to DVD Version 1.0
Whilst the Rules, Help Sheets and various other documentation have been re branded and had minor grammatical updates (see the resource CDROM version 2 update below) the only change to the rules that is relevant to the DVD is Lifelong Learning where RICS now require a minimum of 20 hours LLL per year. This came into force in January 2009.

Candidate Companion

Version 2.0 - October 2009

Included in this version
The Candidate Companion has been produced in response to the recent changes in the RICS UK APC process (December 2008 and recent updates on 15th June 2009 and 1st July 2009). This document (part 1) explains the latest changes to the APC. Part 2 is an explanation of the new templates and part 3 contains examples of completed final assessment templates.

The UK APC Process was updated in June and July 2009. Version 2.0 of the Candidate Companion has been updated to take account of these changes as follows:

Changes to Part 1 – RICS UK APC process changes explained
Two new sections have been added to part 1 covering changes to the assessment dates depending on the pathway and assessment centre and a section summarising the updates to the APC guides.

Changes to Part 2 – RICS UK APC submission templates explained
Information about the changes to each template has been added to the notes on each template. All the templates have been updated apart from template 4 which remains the same.

Changes to Part 3 – RICS UK APC submission templates completed examples
Part 3 containing the completed examples of the templates has been completely updated using the new version of the RICS templates released in July 2009.
